We have discussed the Australian event that we will be using in our composition which is the Kokoda trail. The Kokoda trail was a signficant event which happened to the young Australian soldiers of our past so it was appropriate to dedicate a song to our heros.
We tried to keep lyrics emotional without the usual cliche lines you see in some Australian popular music...
We'll fight, we'll fight for our freedom
Even if the moon wakes
We march in this endless trail of greenery
But all I see is black and red
Take this gun and clench the hand of emptiness
Fill my head with courage and hate
I won't die today I'm unbreakable
Bring me back to the days
With no bullets or blades
Just verse 1 and pre chorus at the moment...

Me, Muriel and Shane's voice didn't quite match the chords Muriel was playing...
So we thought we'd bring a bit higher and put a capo on the 2nd fret

This is our third recording sample with both lyrics and guitar, its a brief view of what the song sounds like.
It's a bit shabby and some of the voices are too low compared to the guitar so it may be difficult to pick out the lyrics..
